Kelvin Timber is an independent, family-run timber & builders merchant with more than 35 years of experience in the building industry. We stock an enormous range of products from our premises in Milngavie and Hamilton, and specialise in Decking, Hardwood Flooing, C16 Timbers & a variety of Building Materials. In the unlikely event that you can’t find what you need in our catalogue we can of course arrange a special order for you. Our Milngavie branch are now recruiting for the following positions:

Yard Supervisor – Full Time : Working under the supervision of the Yard Manager, the successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following; Stock entry, order picking, serving trade and public, stock taking, off loading vehicles, occasional delivery driving. Candidates should have a full UK drivers licence and a forklift licence and knowledge of timber and building produts would be prefered.

Junior Sales Assistant – Full Time: Working under the supervision of the Sales Director & Shop Manager, the successful candidate will be shown how to deal with sales enquiries, stock entry systems, invoicing. They will carry out an important role within the shop/trade counter- replenishing stock, serving trade and the general public, inputing stock & stock taking.

We’d like to annonce that after more than 10 years service with the company, both branch managers, Mark Maginnis (Milngavie) and Graham Middlemas (Hamilton) have been awarded with the position of Sales Director at their respective branch.

Delivery

We offer mechanical Hiab off load from both our branches. Each of which can carry a maximum 8 tonne load. We also have a flat bed Transit at each branch and in Milngavie we also have a 7.5tonne Flat bed vehicle. We can deliver throughout Central Scotland – and further afield if you give us reasonable notice.

Delivery Costs

We endevour to deliver within 24 hours of your order being placed, but please allow two days notice and notify us of any potential access problems. Deliveries are to the nearest drop-off point unless otherwise arranged.

Local deliviries start @ £15 + VAT

When placing an order please ask the price of your delivery charge.

Monday – Friday 8.00am – 4.45pm

Saturday – 8.00am – 1.00pm
